Karl K Kimmel Sr., age 56, of 405 Baltimore Street, Donaldson, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at his residence. He was born on Friday, June 21, 1957, in Pottsville, a son of the late Kenneth E and Miriam H Artz Kimmel. He was a 1975 graduate of Pine Grove High School and had attended North Schuylkill Vo Tech. He was a maintenance technician for Post Precision, Strausstown before becoming disabled. Karl enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycle riding. He is survived by a son Karl K Kimmel, Jr of Pottsville; a sister Patricia A Hatter of Donaldson; two nephews Robin A Hatter, Jr of Donaldson and Michael E Hatter of Pine Grove; a niece Vicki A Barry of Donaldson; and four great nephews. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. A viewing was held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial was made in Donaldson Cemetery, Donaldson.
