June Marilyn Kieffer, age 82, of 363 S Goodspring Road, Hegins, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Tuesday, June 5, 1928, in Tower City, a daughter of the late Clarence E Bailey and Dora L (Richter) Bailey. She was a graduate of the former Tremont High School. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. She was also a member of the ASPCA. She was preceded in death by a sister Phyllis Lehan and a great grandson. She is survived by two daughters Jacqueline L McConomy and her husband John of Punta Gorda, FL, and Kay L Morgan and her husband Lee of Hegins; three granddaughters Allison K Davenport of Philadelphia, Beth A Bensinger of Valley View, and Emilie K Julian of Valley View; two grandsons Bradley E Morgan of Columbia, and Andrew K McConomy of Atlanta, GA; seven great grandchildren; and a brother Clarence Freeman of Tremont. Private services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with Rev. Claude Schach officiating. Burial was made in St John's Cemetery, Hegins.
