June C Boyer, age 88, of 16 Laurel Street, Valley View, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Schuylkill Medical Center East Norwegian , Pottsville. She was born on Tuesday, June 24, 1924, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Robert Miller and Eva Hubler Miller. She was of the Protestant Faith. June enjoyed living in the country and feeding and watching the wild animals in her yard. Her first husband, William Boyer, died while serving in World War II in 1944. Her second husband Ralph Boyer died in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a son Richard Boyer; a daughter Barbara Ann Swartzlander; and two brothers Robert Miller and Raymond Miller. She is survived by a son Carl W Boyer of Towanda; a daughter Sandra L Kiapes of Pottsville; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a great great grandson; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. A viewing was held from 10 to 11 am on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial was made in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.
