Joyce Lillian Morgan, age 83, of 413 W Maple St, Valley View, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born on Monday, April 25, 1927, in Hegins Twp, a daughter of the late Isaac and Lillie (Thompson) Kissinger. She was a seamstress for area garment factories. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. She was also a member of the Tri Valley and Mahantongo Senior Citizens. Joyce enjoyed reading, gardening, bingo, and taking trips to casinos. She was preceded in death by a son Dennis L Morgan; a great granddaughter, Ericka Morgan; two brothers; two sisters; and fifteen half brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband Ernest R Morgan, to whom she was married for 66 years. She is also survived by a daughter Brenda J. Terrell and her husband Peter B. of Lewisburg; a son Larry E. Morgan and his wife Louise of Ashland; nine grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Thursday, April 21, 2011, at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Claude Schach officiating.
