Joseph C Deibert, age 91, of 343 Park Road, Valley View, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on Thursday, September 20, 1923, in Valley View, a son of the late Francis S Deibert and Jennie Klinger Deibert.

He was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

He was a truck driver for the former M and G Convoy Co. prior to his retirement.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View.

He was also a member of theTeamsters Union Local 469.

Joe enjoyed crafts, traveling, playing cards, and talking to his friends on the CB radio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Guy T Deibert; two brothers Clarence Deibert and Leroy Deibert; and a sister Helen Dunkle.

He is survived by his wife Jean L Bixler Deibert, to whom he was married for 68 years.

He is also survived by a son, Jay C Deibert of Valley View; a grandson, Joseph Deibert of Annville; two granddaughters, Chrystal Deibert of Maryland and Tiffany Lenker of Sacamento; two great granddaughters, Mara Deibert and Elizabeth Deibert; two great grandsons, Tyler Deibert and Joseph Lenker; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Monday, November 3, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Brian Beissel officiating.

Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.
