John H Snyder, age 74, of 777 Hill Road, Hegins, passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. He was born on Thursday, November 5, 1936, in Barry Twp, a son of the late Percy M and Verdie (Limbert) Snyder. He served in the US Army. He was employed as a laborer for A J Marcus Construction, Doylestown until his retirement. He is survived by his companion of 29 years Cecile "CC" McCulloch; two brothers Donald D Snyder of Elysburg and William L Snyder of Mt Carmel; and a niece Diane M Satterwhite of Rochester, MN. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. A viewing was held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial was made in St. John's "Kimmel's" Cemetery, Deep Creek Road, Ashland.
