John W Shade, age 75, of Valley View, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024 at Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.

He was born on Tuesday, November 23, 1948, in Pottsville, a son of the late John A Shade and the late Tillie A (Klinger) Shade.

John was a 1967 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.

He retired from Reese's Peanut Butter, Hershey, after twenty-five years of employment.

John was an avid hunter, enjoyed going to camp, cooking, and most of all spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, LaRue A Welker.

He is survived by his wife Carol E (Strine) Shade, to whom he was married for 56 years.

He is also survived by two sons, Troy A Shade and Chrisopher L Shade of Valley View; a daughter, Sally M Sallada and her husband Rob of Valley View; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Sandra L Specht of Leck Kill; and several nieces and nephews; .

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Pine Creek Conference Center, 44 Walnut Lane, Hegins PA 17938.
