Jean R Herb, age 82, of 1212 W Mountain Road, Hegins, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at her residence. She was born on Wednesday, September 25, 1929, in Sacramento, a daughter of the late Harvey M Williard and Carrie M Snyder Williard. She retired from the former Kinney Shoe Factory, Millersburg. She was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Fearnot. She was also a member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens. Jean enjoyed crocheting, quilting, cooking, camping, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy W Herb in 2010. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Harlan Williard and Melvin Williard, and a sister Arlene Williard. She is survived by a son Terry L Herb and his wife Dianne of Erdman; a daughter Karen L Wilson and her husband Mark of Valley View; three granddaughters Lisa Silks of Wilmington, NC, Lori Heim of Fort Wayne, IN, and Stacey White of Gratz; two grandsons Dohn Herb of Millersburg, and Tony Wilson of Hegins; six great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Fearnot, on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at 11:00 am, with Rev. William Danis officiating. A viewing was held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church. Burial was made in St. Peter's Cemetery, Fearnot.
