Click here to view the Video Tribute for Jean. Jean K Dietrich, age 82, of 204 Gap Street, Valley View, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. She was born on Tuesday, September 23, 1930, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Howard H and Vada E Schwalm Hepler. She was a 1948 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. She was a secretary for her late husbands business, Russell Dietrich Construction. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church; where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She was also a former member of the Swatara Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Jean enjoyed crafts and swimming. She had taught swimming to many children and adults in the area. She was also a former Brownie Scout leader. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell F Dietrich in 2006. She was also preceded in death by a sister Irene Osman; and two brothers Russell Hepler and Walter Hepler. She is survived by three daughters Sherry R McDonald and her husband James of Valley View, Robin J Otto and her husband Rick of Valley View, and Lisa L Emerich of Wethersfield, CT; a twin brother Eugene Hepler of Morrisville; eight grandchildren Jennifer, Ross, Elliott, Emily, Everett, Eden, Elyse, and Lizzie; two great grandchildren Jordan and Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Brian Beissel and Rev. Guy Grube officiating. Visitation was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church. Burial was made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View.
