Jean M. Bowman, 69, of Park Road, Valley View passed away Friday at her home. Born in Sacramento, April 23, 1940, a daughter of Pearl Harner Wolfe, Spring Glen and the late Charles Wolfe. Jean retired from the cafeteria at Tri-Valley High School She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Wolfe. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband of 39 years, Charles. Her children, Linda Wetzel, Valley View; David Wetzel and his wife Debra, Palmerton; Bonnie Shoop and her husband Patrick and Julie Ferster and her husband David, both of Lykens; five Grandchildren, Jacob and Andrea Ferster, Terri, William and Gordon Shoop. Siblings, Robert Wolfe Sr., Spring Glen; Joan Wertz, Hanover; Charles Wofe Jr., Hegins, Dennis Wolfe Sr., Spring Glen and Faye Leschke, Columbia. A sister-in-law, Sue Ann Farver, Harrisburg; and Nieces and Nephews. Services were held Wednesday, November 4th at 11:00 am from the Buffington Reed Funeral Home Valley View with Rev Philip Sabas officiting. Visitation was from 10-11 am at the funeral home.
