Jay W Mayer, age 57, of 1308 W Main Street, Valley View, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. He was born on Tuesday, July 20, 1954, in Pottsville, a son of the late Jay Henry and Gertrude (Conrad) Mayer. He was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School and had attended Penn State University. He was employed as the Administrator for Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, for twenty-five years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was also a Charter Life Member of the American Motorcyclist Association. Jay enjoyed photography, bicycling, and trail riding. He is survived by a half brother Richard C Davis and his wife Monica of Valley View, two nieces Nadine Klinger and her husband Tim and their children Gavin, Brandon, and Colby Klinger of Spring Glen, and Camilla Feger and her husband Ryan and their children Lillia Lucas and Cade Feger of Herndon; and his best friends Peggy G Borchert and Herbert J F Borchert both of Valley View.
