James Jacob Zerbe, age 82, of 2203 E Main Street, Sacramento, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on Sunday, March 20, 1927 in Pine Grove, a son of the late Harry Zerbe and the late Annie (Shollenberger) Zerbe. He served in the Army during WWII. He retired from Gold Mills, Pine Grove; he also had been employed as a coal miner . He is survived by three sisters Eva Zerbe of Valley View, Mae Kocher of Tremont, and Sara Yocum of Manheim. Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
