Click here to view the Video Tribute for Jim James W Fronk, age 56, of Orlando, FL, formerly of Valley View, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 in Orlando, FL after a courageous two year battle with cancer. He was born on Saturday, September 11, 1954, in Pottsville, a son of M. Jean (Laudenslager) Fronk of Valley View and the late George W Fronk.. He was a 1971 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and a 1975 graduate of Kutztown University. He taught sixth grade science and math at Upper Dauphin Area Middle School. He than became a pilot and taught flying lessons at Reading Airport. He than was employed as a pilot for USAir, Delta Airlines, and was a captain for Jet Blue until becoming ill. Jim was and avid hunter and enjoyed fishing with his grandsons. He is survived by his wife Diane Fronk, to whom he was married for 15 years. Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are two sons James and Joseph of Florida; a daughter Samantha Knowles and her husband Ray of Florida; two grandsons Andrew and Jack Knowles of Florida; a brother John L Fronk of Millersburg; three sisters Ann L Schiliro of Warrington, Janice M Hodge of Camarillo, CA, and Jean M Herb of Hegins. Memorial services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Philip Sabas officiating. Burial was made in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, Fl. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of local arrangements. Condolences can be left for the family at www.buffingtonreed.com .
