Jacqueline "Jackie" M. Rothermel, age 72, of 45 S Goodspring Road, Hegins, died Sunday, Jan 11, 2004, at her home. She was born in Mount Carmel, Pa, on July 16,1931 a daughter of Alma (Lubold) Green of Hegins and the late Charles Green, Sr. She was the owner and operator of the Rothermel Personal Care Home of Hegins. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. She was a member of the Hegins Fire Company Auxillary. Surviving in addition to her mother are two daughters Karen Catanzaro of Spring City, Pa; and Kathy Suhr of Halifax; a son Bill Rothermel of Reading; three brothers Lamar Green of Mansfield, Charles Green, Jr, of Hegins, and Scott Green of Hegins; six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; a friend Gabriel (Gus) Roscilli of Wayne, Pa. Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan 14, at Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins, with the Rev. Claude Schach officiating. A viewing was held on Wednesday from 9 to 11a.m. at the church. Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins. Memorial contibutions can be made to Pinnacle Health Hospice, 301 One Norwegian Plaza, Pottsville PA 17901. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, 200 W Main St, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.
