Iva Agnes Reed, age 91, of the Susquehanna Lutheran Village,Millersburg, Pa, formerly of Gratz, Pa,died Saturday, December 4th, 2004 at Susquehanna Lutheran Village. She was born in Jordan Twp., Northumberland County, Pa. on December 7, 1912, a daughter of the late Elmer and Polly (Strohecker) Troutman. She and her late husband owned and operated Reed's Fine Furniture, Gratz from 1929 to 1969. She also was an attendent at the Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, from 1932 until her retirement. She was a member of the Good Shepherd E.C. Church of Gratz, Pa. She enjoyed traveling. Her husband Marlin S. Reed died April 19, 1969 Surviving are a daughter Betty C. wife of Woodrow Headdings, Camp Hill; three sons James A. husband of Eleanor Reed, Gratz; Marlin S. husband of Carol Reed, Myerstown; and Joseph E. husband of Shirley Reed, Pillow. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Polly A. Bonawitz and a son William H. B. Reed; by three brothers Preston, Joy, and Moses Troutman, and three sisters Thelma Deppen, Katherine Koppenhaver and Myrle Longabach. Funeral Services were held at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, Pa. at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 9th, with Rev.Randy Sizemore officiating. A Viewing was held on Wednesday, Dec. 8th from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, Dec. 9th from 9 to 10 a.m. at the James A. Reed Funeral Home. Burial was made in Union Cemetery, Gratz, Pa.
