Iva Marie Conrad, age 93, of 1510 W Main Street, Valley View, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at her home. She was born on Sunday, August 6, 1916 in Gratz, a daughter of the late Queen Williard and the late Jenny (Fetterolf) Williard. She had worked as a seamstress in area garment factories before retiring. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Tremont. She loved to crochet and bake. She had won several Blue Ribbons for her apple pies. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry H Conrad in 1990. She was also preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Carol L Schwartz and her husband, Franklin of Hegins, and Sally J Bixler of Valley View; two sons, Lynn E Conrad and his wife, Trudy of Valley View, and Henry J Conrad and his wife, Joan of Valley View; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Faye G Bolton of Rife, and Alma M Burger of Tower City. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Elder Paul Frantz officiating. Burial was made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 403 Green St, Tremont PA 17981.
