Irene Florence Shade, age 68, of 41 Park Lane, Hegins, died Thursday, November 2nd, 2006 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born in , Jordan Twp, Northumberland County, Pa, on July 24, 1938, a daughter of the late Ray D Witmer and Cora Margaret (Pieffer) Witmer who survives her of Millersburg. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. Surviving in addition to her mother are two sons Forrest L Shade, Valley View and Wayne E Shade, Sacramento; two daughters Donna I Spotts, Valley View and Karen D Kroh, Hegins; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; three brothers Irvin Witmer, Berrysburg, Harold Witmer, Hillsgrove, and Darwin Witmer, Hickory Corners. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 4th, with Rev. Carl Shankweiler officiating.
