Irene I Radel, age 93, of Spring Glen, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at The Manor at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg.

She was born on Saturday, April 23, 1921, in Sacramento, a daughter of the late Harvey Harner and Clara Moyer Harner.

She was a graduate of the former Hubley Twp High School.

She and her late husband operated a family farm for many years in Sacramento.

She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.

Irene was an excellent cook and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Her husband LeRoy S Radel passed away in 1987. She was also preceded in death by a son Vincent S Radel in 2007; by two brothers, Clayton Harner and Allen Harner; and by two sisters, Edna Shade and Mildred Harner.

She is survived by a son Ronald T Radel and his wife Janet of Spring Glen; two grandsons, Ryan A Radel of Spring Glen and Tyler A Radel of Concord, NH; two granddaughters, Courtney L Radel of Spring Glen and Laurie A Glowatski of Lewisburg; a great grandson, Michael Glowatski of Lewisburg; a daughter in law Karen Radel of Mt Carmel; and by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating.

A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial was made in Sweitzer's Memorial Cemetery, Berrysburg.
