Click here to view the Video Tribute for Irene Irene V Osman, age 95, of 202 Park Rd, Valley View, passed away peacefully Monday, February 16, 2009 at her home. She was born on Saturday, March 29, 1913 in Valley View, the eldest daughter of the late Howard "Bushdy" Hepler and the late Vada E (Schwalm) Hepler. She was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. She retired as a Floor Lady from the former Valley View Mfg. Co. She was also a waitress at the former Kimmel's Restaurant; a waitress and cook at the former Plugger's Restaurant and Bar, both of Valley View; had worked at the former Valley View Movie Theater; and worked at the refreshment stand at the former Dell Lake Amusement Park. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church,Valley View. She was also an officer in the former Daughters of America, Valley View; a former secretary of the Women's Bowling League, Valley View; a former secretary of the Valley View Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary; and a former member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens. She enjoyed traveling with the Senior Citizens and trips with her four high school friends, arts and crafts, music, and visiting with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark L Osman in 1971; and two brothers Russell Hepler and Walter Hepler. She is survived by a daughter, Linda O Hummel and her husband, William of Camp Hill; a brother, Eugene M Hepler of Morrisville; a sister, Jean K Dietrich of Valley View; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Danis officiating assisted by Rev. Curtis Zemencik. A viewing was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the church. Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, P.O.
