Ida L Harner Koppenhaver, age 92, of 301 Straub Alley, Valley View, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 at The Kepler Home, Elizabethville. She was born on Wednesday, January 12, 1921, in Lykens Twp, a daughter of the late Lester and Katie Klinger Klinger. She was a seamstress for the former Philmark Mfg Co, Valley View. She was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Fearnot. Ida enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with her family. Her first husband Guy R Harner passed away in 1958; her second husband Melvin N Koppenhaver passed away in 1997. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Carolyn Harner; a son Lester Harner; three grandsons Timothy Shaffer, Cameron Harner, and Dean Harner; and two brothers Chester Klinger and Galen Klinger. She is survived by a daughter Marilyn I Shaffer and her husband Mark of Bloomsburg; a son Richard D Harner and his wife Dora of Wiconisco; a step son Ronald Koppenhaver and his wife Mary of Tower City; a step daughter Linda Shriner and her husband Paul of Valley View; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a great great grandson; three step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; three sisters Melba Crothermel of Fisherville, Violet Rebuck of Gratz, and Eileen Leitzel of Gratz; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Monday, February 11, 2013, at 11:30 am. A viewing was held from 10:30 am to 11:30 am on Monday at the funeral home. Burial was made in Church of God Cemetery, Valley View. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Tim Shaffer Fund, 1st Keystone Bank, P.O.
