Hilda Alverta Stutzman, age 93, of 1135 W Maple Street, Valley View, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at her residence. She was born on Saturday, November 27, 1920, in Dornsife, a daughter of the late Clarence and Alverta Snyder Knorr. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. Hilda's life revolved around her family; she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed preparing and spending Sunday dinners with her family. Her husband Lloyd M Stutzman passed away in 1998. She was also preceded in death by four brothers Marlin Knorr, Leroy Knorr, Elwood Knorr, and Robert Knorr; and by four sisters Peggy Schneck, Betty Depres, Violet Knorr, and Pearl Bruso. She is survived by two sons Lamar L Stutzman and his wife Elizabeth of Lebanon and Gary L Stutzman and his wife Ahe of Spring, TX; two daughters Barbara A Wetzel and her husband Roger of Valley View and Debra K Stiely and her husband John of Elizabethville; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two sisters Myrtle Herring and Dolly Klouser both of Hegins; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating. A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church. Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
