Obituary

Henry "Butch" P. Maidenford, age 67, of 125 Main Street, Joliett, passed away Friday, October 5th, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Pine Grove, on February 28, 1940, a son of the late Paul H and Mary (Weber) Maidenford. He was a 1958 graduate of Pine Grove High School. He was employed as a coal miner for several area coal mines. He retired from Guilford Mills, Pine Grove; where he was the President of Local 1493 Unite Here of Guilford Mills. He was a member of the Mountaineer Archery Club, Joliett, and the Pine Grove Fish and Game. He is survived by his wife Janet H (Lucas) Maidenford, to whom he was married for 42 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons Bryan T Maidenford and his wife Jill of Pine Grove, Tim W Maidenford of Joliett, Paul H Maidenford of Joliett, and Clint A Maidenford of Williamstown; a daughter Wendy M Madenford and her husband James of Good Spring; a grandson Nick R Maidenford of Newtown; a granddaughter Justine J Madenford of Cressona; five brothers Eugene Maidenford, Albert Maidenford, Thomas Maidenford, and Dennis Maidenford all of Pine Grove, and Steve Smith of Florida; and by three sisters Dorothy Wessner of Colorado, Arlene Lucas of Joliett, and Shirley Miller of Schuylkill Haven. He was preceded in death by three sisters Polly Kieffer, Maryanne Sattizan, and Ruth Romberger. Memorial Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 13th. Condolences can be left for the family at www.buffingtonreed.com
