Helen M. Bixler's Obituary
Helen M Bixler, age 59, of Hegins, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016 at Schuylkill Medical Center- East, Pottsville.
She was born on Tuesday, August 14, 1956, in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Levi E Miller and the late Helen Mae Carl Miller.
She was a 1974 graduate of the Tri-Valley High School.
She was employed at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Berrysburg.
She was of the Protestant Faith.
Helen enjoyed local dirt track racing, puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Robert Bixler in 2001; and by her long time companion, Donnie Bowman in 2015.
She is survived by a daughter, Melissa A Cessna and her fiancé Jeremiah Lesher of Hegins; three sons, Jerry P Bixler and his wife Michele of Gratz, Robert Bixler, Jr and his wife Rachael of Pitman, and Edwin L Bixler and his wife Beth of Hegins; grandchildren Tanner, Devin, Trenton, Tara, and Robert III; a brother, Rick Miller of Shamokin; three sisters, Cathy Weaver of Pillow, Mary Miller of Klingerstown, and Patricia Miller of Valley View; and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Friday, January 15, 2016, at 11:00 am, with Rev. William Danis officiating.
A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial was made in St. Peter's Cemetery, Fearnot.
