Harvey Wayne Troup, age 96, Barry Township, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Providence Place, Pine Grove.

He was born on Sunday, November 4, 1928, in Hubley Twp, a son of the late Harvey Troup and the late Mabel M (Smeltz) Troup.

He was a 1946 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

Wayne was a coal miner and then drove coal truck prior to his retirement.

He was a member of St. John's "Kimmel's" Church, Ashland.

Wayne enjoyed watching auto racing.

His wife, Annetta G (Wedde) Troup, passed away on December 28, 2023. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold L Troup.

He is survived by a sister in law, Margaret J Mitchell and her husband Edward of Barry Township; a nephew, Len H Troup and his wife Susan of Valley View; and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc, Valley View, on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Bonnie Yeager officiating.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. John's "Kimmel's" Cemetery, Barry Township.
