Harvey Rufus Harner, Jr., age 54, of 16 Clark Lane, Hegins, died Thursday, October 5th, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Hubley Twp, on October 14, 1951, a son of the late Harvey Rufus and Elizabeth Virginia (Miller) Harner. He was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School He served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Superior Coal Company, Valley View. He was the husband of Eleanor Irene (Schwalm) Harner, to whom he was married for 35 years. Surviving In addition to his wife are two sons Kevin J Harner, Ashland and Robert L Harner, at home; a daughter Tammy S Harner, Pottsville; three granddaughters Ashley E Rauch, Pottsville, Katrina Schwalm, Ashland;, and Tabitha J Rauch, Pottsville; three sisters Judy Lucas, Good Spring, Sally Lucas, Hegins, and Carol Miller, Montana. Memorial Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 9th, with Rev. Warren Egebo officiating.
