Harriet H Cook, age 79, of 16 Mill Road, Sacramento, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. She was born on Thursday, January 10, 1935, in Hegins, a daughter of the late John J Rissinger, Jr and Bessie E Hauck Rissinger. She was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School and the Harrisburg School of Nursing. She was a licensed practical nurse for the PA Department of Health for twenty-five years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sacramento. Harriet enjoyed QVC shopping and loved her dog Lucky and her cats. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Victoria H Lettich; a sister Jane Klinger; and a brother John Rissinger, III. She is survived by two sons William J Cook of Las Vegas, NV and Walter M Cook of Sacramento; a daughter Virginia A Snyder of Harrisburg; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a brother Charles Rissinger of Marysville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services where held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Raymond Holland officiating. Visitation was held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento.
