Gustav "Gus" Mack, age 73, of 206 W Maple St, Valley View, Pa died Saturday, December 4th, 2004 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pa.. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa on January 7, 1931,the son of the late Gustave and Pauline (Nosak) Mack. He retired as Plant Manager at Hegins Precision, Division of Penn Reel, Hegins, Pa., after serving as plant manager for over 25 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, Pa. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife of 47 years Louise E (O'Brien) Mack; one son Kenneth D., husband of Jody Mack, Valley View, Pa., and two grandchildren Ryan K. Mack and Alison N Mack both of Valley View. A viewing was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. The funeral service was private at the convenience of family at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with Rev. Carl Shankweiler officiating assisted by Rev. Curtis Zemencik.
