Grace Alberta Schlegel-Hatter, 80, of 4855 Bayard Blvd., Bethesda,MD, died Sunday at Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington, DC. Born in Jordan Twp., February 26, 1924, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Mable M. Leitzel Schlegel. She was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp. High School. She worked for Frank S. Phillips, Inc. as an accountant until retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold L. Hatter in 1979, and by two brothers; Guy J. and Ray A. Schlegel. Surviving are a daughter, Jeanne H. Pyles, Bethesda, MD; three sisters, Irene Thomas, Colesville, MD, Arlene Louthian, Fairfax Station, VA, and Alma Maglin, Mt. Vernon, VA; two grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family at the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View, Pa. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
