Grace Melinda Riegel, age 92, of 157 Hinkel Road, Barry Twp, passed away Monday, November 19th, 2007 at Saint Catherine Medical Center, Fountain Springs. She was born in Barry Twp, on February 20, 1915, a daughter of the late Edward R and Edna (Weikel) Hinkel. She retried as a seamstress having worked for several area garment factories. She was a member of St. John's "Kimmel's" United Church of Christ, Barry Twp. Her husband Earl M Riegel died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Clair and George Hinkel and by three sisters Catherine Snyder, Ruth Buchspics, and Irene Roadarmel. She is survived by two brothers Richard E. Hinkel and his wife Darlene of Ashland., Leroy M Hinkel and his wife Isabell of Ashland; by three sisters Susie R Gahres and her husband Franklin of Aston, Helen M Klaiss and her husband Frederick of Lavelle, and Esther A Whary of Gowen City; and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at St. John's "Kimmel's" UCC Church, Barry Twp., at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 23rd, with Rev. Bonnie Yeager officiating. A viewing was be held from Noon to 2 p.m. on Friday at the church. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
