Grace M Geist, age 88, of ManorCare, Allentown, formerly of Hegins, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at ManorCare. She was born on Wednesday, March 14, 1923, in Barry Twp, a daughter of the late George and Loretta Morgan Miller. She was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. She was employed as a seamstress for area garment factories prior to her retirement. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. She was also a member of the Hegins Fire Company Auxiliary, and a member and former secretary/treasurer of the Tri Valley Senior Citizens. Grace enjoyed movies, reading, and going on trips with the senior citizens. She was preceded in death by a brother Calvin Miller; and three sisters Elsie Grose, Anna Geist, and Martha Miller. She is survived by two sons Franklin E Geist and his wife Rosalind of Allentown, and Edwin A Miller and his wife Rita of Red Hill; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at Salem Cemetery, Weishample, on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Claude Schach officiating.
