Gloria Diane Ellinger, age 61, of 1634 E Main Street, Hegins, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the home of her sister in Tremont. She was born on Wednesday, October 19, 1949, in Donaldon, a daughter of Harold L Reidler of Hegins and the late Emma M (Harner) Reidler. She was a 1968 graduate of Pine Grove High School. She was of the Protestant Faith. Gloria loved to garden, and she loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Joseph W Ellinger, to whom she was married for 39 years. Surviving in addition to her father and husband are a son Joe L Ellinger and his wife Brooke of Hegins; a step son Mark D Ellinger of Tower City; six grandchildren; five sisters Carol Witmer of Tremont, Fontaine Fisher of Pine Grove, Minnie Lucas of Hampstead, MD, Deborah Derr of Tower City, and Elizabeth Wolff of Tremont; three brothers Harold Reidler, Jr of Holden, MO, Randall Reidler of Ashland, and John Craig Reidler of Pottsville; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sacramento, on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Raymond Holland officiating.
