Geraldine H "Gerry" Moyer, age 84, formerly of Spring Glen, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Monday, March 11, 1929, in Hegins, a daughter of the late Delbert and Carrie Yoder Dunkelberger. She was a seamstress for area garment factories. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. Gerry enjoyed painting, ceramics, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family. Her husband, Marvin L "Yogie" Moyer, passed away in 2009. She was also preceded in death by a great grandson Shane Harner; and two sisters Artie Reinfeld and Romaine Hauck. She is survived by a daughter Wanda R Harner and her husband Terry of Spring Glen; a son David M Moyer, Sr and his wife Gerogina of Spring Glen; three grandsons David M Moyer, Jr of Williamstown, Clinton L Harner of Valley View, and Troy A Harner of Hegins; a granddaughter Luana L Moyer of Herndon; six great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; two sisters Joyce Schwalm of Mechanicsburg and Roberta Spotts of Reading; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating.
