Geraldine E "Gerry" Conrad, age 84, of Valley View, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at her residence.

She was born on Tuesday, November 25, 1930, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Abner Ralph Koppenhaver and the late Helen Osman Koppenhaver.

She was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

She was a seamstress in area garment factories prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. Gerry was very active in her church. She was a member of the choir, church council, a Sunday School Teacher, the worship and music committee, and was a catechismal sponsor for many of the youth.

Her husband Lawton Leonard Conrad passed away in 2011. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patrice E Peterson; a brother Robert Koppenhaver; an infant brother; and four sisters Mabel Spotts, Ruth Schwalm, Karona Yoder, and Isabel Foltz.

She is survived by a son, William A "Bill" Conrad and his wife Debra of Valley View; two granddaughters, Jennifer A Moore and her husband Pat of Klingerstown, and Caitlin M Mangine and her husband Santino of Valley View; a great granddaughter, Emma E Moore of Klingerstown; a great grandson, Easton P Moore of Klingerstown; three expected grandchildren due this fall; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Brian Beissel officiating.

A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the church.

Burial was made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View.
