Geraldine V Brubaker, age 94, of 211 W Main Street, Valley View, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Schuylkill Medical Center- E Norwegian, Pottsville.

She was born on Saturday, March 6, 1920, in Hebe, a daughter of the late Allen R and Ruth Faye Troutman Schlegel.

She was a 1938 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

She was a member of Calvary Chapel, Valley View.

She was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 326 of Millersburg and then transferred to the Glenn Chapter 425 Lykens.

Geraldine enjoyed crocheting, was an avid Phillies fan, was very dedicated to her church, and loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels in her backyard.

Her husband James H Brubaker passed away in 1999. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Max Schlegel and Palmer Schlegel.

She is survived by a daughter, Karen Y Schweinhart and her husband David of Ashland; a grandson, Eric C Minnich and his wife Valerie of Halifax; a granddaughter, Jodi M Cooper and her husband Ryan of Ashland; two step granddaughters, Heidi E Butler and her husband Dan of Etters and Heather E Schweinhart of Frackville; four great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; a sister, Josephine Lenker of Millersburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Calvary Chapel, 1010 W Maple St, Valley View, on Monday, December 22, 2014, at 10:00 am, with Rev. Jesse Benack officiating.

A viewing was held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Monday at the church.

Burial was made in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.
