Click here to view the Video Tribute for Jerry Gerald L "Jerry" Madenford Jr., age 54, of 810 Urban Road, Herndon, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Sunbury Community Hospital, Sunbury. He was born on Monday, October 17, 1955, in Pottsville, a son of the late Gerald L Madenford Sr. and Shirley (Klinger) Madenford He was employed as a welder for Alfa Laval, Lykens. He was of the Protestant Faith, He was an avid motorcycle rider and was a member of a motorcycle club at his work. Jerry also enjoyed horseback riding, NASCAR, muscle cars, and deer hunting. He is survived by a son Travis L Madenford of Valley View; three brothers James Madenford of Good Spring, Robert Madenford of Tower City, and Scott Madenford of Tremont; three sisters Donna Deeter of Joliett, Janice Abdou of Harrisburg, and Mardelle Eister of Middleport; a companion Melissa Hite of Tower City; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services wete held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Friday, June 11, 2010, at 11:00 AM, with Rev Curtis Zemencik officiating. A viewing was held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home. Condolences can be left for the family at www.buffingtonreed.com .
