George Hartman Dietrich , age 69, of 300 Fearnot Road, Sacramento, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at his home. He was born on July 25, 1944 in Hubley Twp, a son of the late W. Walter and Mary E (Hartman) Dietrich. He was a 1962 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and served in the US Army from August of 1962 to August of 1965. He was a repairman for Mayer and Kehler; where he worked for 32 years. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sacramento. He was also a member of American Legion Post 575, Valley View, VFW Post 2387, Valley View, the Valley View Gun Club, a member and former president of the Sacramento Fire Company, and a member of the Erdman Sportsman's Association. George was very active with the Valley View Legion Baseball team and in the past had played on local dart and pool teams. He was preceded in death a brother, Walter H Dietrich, and two sisters Dorothy M Dietrich and Mary K Dietrich. He is also survived by a daughter Tammy Oman and her husband Adam; a grandson Kirk Rissinger; a granddaughter Kali Oman; four sisters Esther S Garrett, Ruth E Koppenhaver, Pauline E Klinger, and Marion A Bowman; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service was held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Visitation was held from 10-11 AM on Saturday at the church. Burial was made in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento.
