Franklin R Wolfgang, age 76, of 1154 E Main Street, Hegins, passed away Friday, March 4, 2011 at his residence. He was born on Monday, September 3, 1934, in Hegins, a son of the late Albert L and Ruth C (Shadle) Wolfgang. He was a truck driver throughout his life and had retired from Van Heusen, Schuylkill Haven. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, NASCAR racing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy L Wolfgang. He is survived by his wife Rosemary (Sabotchick) Wolfgang, to whom he was married for 43 years. He is also survived by two sons Richard L Wolfgang and his wife Kathrine of Halifax, and Dennis L Clark and his wife Judith of Pitman; three daughters Sharon K Glass of Carlisle, Donna M Melocheck and her husband Kevin of Ashland, and Karen A Sheriff and her husband Kenneth of Palmyra; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four sisters Eleanor Boyer of Lebanon, Mary Steckley of Valley View, Daisy Koppenhaver of Syracuse, NY, and Anna Mae Spotts of Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews, Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Gerald Frey officiating. A viewing was held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial was made in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.
