Frank M Neumeister, age 73, of Weishample, under the care of his family and the guidance of Dr Abdul, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on Saturday, June 23, 1945, in Barry Twp, a son of the late Irvin Neumeister and the late Martha Schucker Neumeister.
He was a miner for area coal mines, then worked for Pagnotti Construction, then Schuylkill Products, and then was a self employed coal miner until retirement.
He attended God's Missionary Church, Shamokin.
Frank supervised the building of the Church of Christ in Christian Union, Mable. He taught Sunday School at the Church of Christ in Christian Union, and at God's Missionary Church.
Frank was a member of Guideons International and the Independent Miners Association. He was also a member of the NRA and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing guitar.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by triplet grandsons, Timothy, Michael, and Nicholas; a brother, Kenneth Neumeister; and two sisters Arlene Klinger and Barbara Hoskie.
He is survived by his wife Patricia A (Morgan) Neumeister, to whom he was married for 54 years.
He is also survived by four daughters, Lisa M Derck and her husband Kevin of Shamokin, Teresa M Rothermel and her husband Barry of Mifflinburg, Melinda J Ondo and her husband Ronald of Forestville, and Amy S Haas and her husband David of Minersville; two sons, Frank W Neumeister and his wife Deborah of Ashland and John M Neumeister and his wife Tracie of Springfield, TN; sixteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three brothers, Bruce Neumeister of Ashland, Marlin Neumeister of Ashland, and Walter Neumeister of Pine Grove; two sisters, Gloria Ludwig of Niceville, FL and Carol Gahres of Ashland; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved Chocolate Lab Queenie.
Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Howard McKenzie, Rev. Michael Fritz, Rev. Palmer Neumeister, and Rev. James Richards officiating.
A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial was made in Church of Christ in Christian Union Cemetery, Weishample.
