Florence I Lyons, age 83, of 1466 W Main Street, Valley View, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at Schuylkill Medical Center- S. Jackson, Pottsville. She was born on Thursday, July 17, 1930, in Barry Twp, a daughter of the late William E and Mabel G Kehler Carl. She was of the Protestant Faith. Florence enjoyed cooking and baking. Her first husband Roy A Lettich passed away in 1969 and her second husband Robert J Lyons passed away in 1987. She was also preceded in death by a son David Lettich; three sisters Catherine Kessler, Helen Miller, and Sally Knorr; and four brothers Walter Carl, Marlin Carl, John Carl, and James Carl. She is survived by four daughters Rosemary Zimmerman and her husband Robert of Pine Grove, Donna Everidge of Valley View, Doris Lettich of Klingerstown, and Carol Long and her husband Samuel of Shippensburg; six sons Randy Lettich and his wife Jean of Ashland, Gene Lettich and his wife Wendy of Fearnot, Jacob Lettich and his wife Holly of Fearnot, Gregory Lettich and his wife Traci of Tremont, Todd Lyons and his wife Jenny of Pine Grove, and Robert Lyons and his wife Valerie of Hegins; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; a great great grandson; three sisters Ellen Drumheller of Hamburg, Margaret Straub of Berrysburg, and Carolyn Schaeffer of Tremont; two brothers Wesley Carl of Hegins and Albert Carl of Tremont; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. William Danis officiating. A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial was made in St. Peter's Cemetery, Fearnot. Condolences can be left for the family at www.buffingtonreed.com .
