Obituary

Florence Bertha Hatter, age 94, of 518 W Main St, Valley View, died Tuesday, September 12th, 2006 at her residence. She was born in Hepler, May 15, 1912, a daughter of the late James E and L. Bertha (Masser) Keim. She and her late husband delivered the rural route for the Pottsville Republican for 25 years. She also worked at the Tri-Valley High School Cafeteria for 20 years, and at the Trinity Lutheran Day Care for five years. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. She was also a member of the Mahantongo Senior Citizens. She was the widow of Emery E Hatter. She was preceded in death by a son Lawrence H. Hatter; by a son in law Howard "Pete" Arbogast; by three brothers John Keim, Walter Keim, and a twin brother Lawrence Keim; by four sisters Edna Fetterolf, Ethel Camp, Blanche Beaver, and Helen Wetzel She is survived by two daughters Lila M Arbogast, Tremont and Marian R wife of Herbert R Bohner, Valley View; a daughter In law Louise J Hatter, Harrisburg. 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins, at 2 P.M. on Saturday, September 16th, with Rev. Claude Schach officiating. A viewing was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept 15th, at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View and from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins. Memorial contributions can be made to Friedens United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 57, Hegins PA 17938.
