Flora E. Schminky 93, of Hollywood Florida, died Sunday March 14th in the Memorial Hospital, Hollywood, FL. She was born and raised in Hegins, PA. The daughter of the late Richard & Clara Artz. She was a graduate of the School of Nursing in Allentown, PA. She was the widow of Ralph L. Schminky. Flora was a member of Friedens Luthern Church in Hegins. She loved traveling with her husband, visiting much of the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska. They also visited Spain, Germany and other European Countries. She is survived by 2 daughters; Joan Henry of Hollywood Florida, and Janet Thompson of Atlanta Georgia. She is also survived by 4 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by 1 sister, Martha Maurer and 2 brothers, Mark & Clair Artz. Funeral Services were held Friday, March 19, 2004, at The Friedens Luthern Church in Hegins, PA. The Rev. Warren Egebo will officiate. Burial will be in the Friedens Cemetary Hegins, PA. A viewing was held from 9:00 til 11:00 AM. Buiral was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins, Pa. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home in Valley View was in charge of the service.
