Fern Annabelle Stine, age 83, of 107 W Main Street, Tremont, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at York Terrace Nursing Home, Pottsville. She was born on Tuesday, February 3, 1925 in Hegins, a daughter of the late Harp Huntzinger and the late Emma (Harner) Huntzinger. She retired as a seamstress for the former Honey Bee Mfg., Branchdale. She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins. She is survived by her husband, Philip J. Stine, to whom she was married for 62 years. She is also survived by a son, Philip "Lee" Stine and his wife, Nancy of Tremont; two step granddaughters, Shelly Woody of Mebane, NC, and Stacy Warner of West Hollywood, CA; a step great granddaughter India Ava Woody of Mebane, NC; a sister, Elsie Huntzinger of Tremont; and a brother, Robert "Hank" Huntzinger of Fountain. Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Warren Egebo officiating. A viewing was held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins. Condolences can be left for the family at www.buffingtonreed.com .
