Faye L. (Frantz) Deiter, 83, a lifelong resident of Hegins passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. She was the wife of the late Harold F. Deiter. She was born May 3, 1931, in Pine Grove, PA to the late Miles and Annie Frantz. She graduated from Pine Grove High School in 1949. She retired from D&M clothing manufacturer, Minersville where she worked 17 years as a supervisor. She worked at Midway Supermarket for many years as well as working in the Hegins-Hubley Elementary School cafeteria. She was a member of the Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was involved with the church choir, LCW, and VBS. She cooked dinners for the senior citizens and funeral dinners for many years. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the local food closet. She is survived by her four children; Scott and Yvonne Deiter, Clarksville MD, Mike and Sue Deiter, Palmyra PA, Steve and Carol Deiter, York PA, and Christine and Bill Fellows, Jonestown PA. A sister Betz Miller, Pine Grove PA; six grandchildren, Heather Deiter, Megan Lingenfelter, Michael Deiter, Ryan Deiter, Alyssa Fellows and Billy Fellows; four great-grandchildren, Blake Deiter, Ryleigh Lingenfelter, Lincoln Lingenfelter and Hudson Lingenfelter. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Jean Bretz, Helen Andrulis, Eva Webbert, Mae Moyer and one brother, Bruce Frantz. Services were held at Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins PA 17938, on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Warren Egebo officiating. A viewing was held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday at Friedens Lutheran Church. Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
