Ethel Annabella Kahler
Ethel Annabella Kahler , age 94, of Hegins, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at , the Gardens at York Terrace, Pottsville.
She was born on Monday, November 20, 1922, in Hegins, PA, a daughter of William Miller and Iva Miller.
She was employed as a Seamstress for the former Amy Sportsware .
She was a member of the former St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Fearnot.
She was also a member of the AARP and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She loved family time and her cats, and enjoyed card club every Thursday for the last 45 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Claude A. Kahler who passed away in 1977 and a daughter Nancy Schylaske, her longtime companion Lee C. Harris and four brothers, an infant Dean Miller, William Miller, Jr., Lyle Miller and Myles Miller.
She is also survived by two daughters, Barbara Kilby and her husband Kurt of Harrisburg, Pa., Bobbyetta Ganunis and her husband Ralph, of Hegins, Pa.; two brothers, Ivan Miller of Marysville, Pa. and Mark Miller of Millersburg, Pa; 6 grandchildren Jennifer, Ralph, Preston, Dean, Jessie and Kurt; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home 200 W. Main St., Valley View, with Rev. Keith Rockwell officiating.
A viewing was held from 10-11 AM at the funeral home.
Burial was made in St. Peter's Cemetery, Fearnot.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions maybe made to the Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, PO Box 332, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
