Ernest Lee Klinger, Sr, age 65, of 228 Hill Road, Hegins, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010 in Houtzdale, Pa. He was born in Pottsville on April 24, 1945 , a son of the late Alvin Klinger and Mary (Carl) Klinger. He was employed as a coal miner in several area coal mines before retiring. He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, and three brothers, Kenneth, Lewis and Gurnney Klinger. He is survived by his wife Linda L (Bixler) Klinger, to whom he was married for twelve years. He is also survived by two daughters, Denise M Knorr and her husband Barry, Jr, of Hegins and Brenda L Klinger, of Pitman; a son, Ernest L Klinger Jr. and his wife Pennie of Hegins; two step sons, David L Miller, and his wife Lisa of Sacramento and Michael L Miller and his wife Nancy of Dornsife; nine grandchildren; two sisters Anna Maurer, of Hegins and LaRue Hepner, of Halifax; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins, on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Warren Egebo officiating. A viewing was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to defer the funeral expenses can be to Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, P.O.
