Elsie K. Smeltz, age 91, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Hegins, Pa, died at the home of her son in Inverness, FL on Saturday, October 7th, 2006. She was born in Barry Twp, Schuylkill County, Pa. on August 21, 1915, a daughter of the late John B and Dena E (Koons) Ebert. She was the Owner and Operator of Elsie's Ceramics and Elsie's Restaurant, Hegins. She was a member of the 1st Lutheran Church of Inverness, FL. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 372. He husband Leo Smeltz died in 1989. She was also preceded in death by a son Errol Smeltz in 1971. She is survived by two sons Matthew Paul, Inverness FL and Douglas Paul, Riverview FL; a daughter Tracy Daley, Mount. Holley NJ; six grandchildren; and a brother Lewis Ebert, Hegins, Pa. Funeral services were held at Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins, at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 13th, with Rev. Warren Egebo officiating. A viewing was held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday at the church.
