Click here to view the Video Tribute for Elsie Elsie Irene Lohr, age 80, of the Friendly Nursing Home, Pitman, formerly of 244 Mahantongo St., Hegins, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the Pottsville Hospital. She was born on Friday, February 25, 1927 in Valley View, a daughter of the late Albert and Catherine (Scheib) Klouser. She was a 1944 graduate of the former Hubley Twp High School . She retired as a seamstress, having worked in several area garment factories. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. She was also a former member of the Valley View Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lohr, who passed away January 11, 2007. She was also preceded in death by a brother James Klouser and by a sister Jeanette Morgan. She is survived by a son, Steven S Lohr and his wife, Patti of Hegins; a daughter, Dr. Georgetta D Lupold and her husband, Lanny of Valley View; a grandson Dr. Chris P Lupold of Charlottesville, VA; two granddaughters, Amy Lupold Bair of Olney, MD and Brittany M Lohr of Hegins; three great grandchildren Noah and Emma Bair, and Ethan George Lupold; a sister, Fern Dietrich of Hegins ; and a brother, Elwood Klouser of Pitman. Services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Noon with Rev. Philip Sabas officiating. A viewing was held Saturday, from 11 a.m. to Noon at the church. Burial was made in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, P.O.
