Elma Rae Maurer, age 89, of 432 W Mountain Road, Hegins. passed away Friday, October 19th, 2007 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Valley View, on February 13, 1918, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Beulah (Herb) Snyder. She was graduate of the former Hegins Township High School and attended the Moores Institute of Art in Philadelphia. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. She was preceded in death by her husband Leon P Maurer, Sr. and by a brother Lloyd G Snyder. She is survived by a daughter Lynda L wife of James Snyder of Hegins: a son Leon P. husband of Linda Maurer of Hegins; three grandsons Mark L husband of Tena Maurer of Hegins, Daniel P husband of Heather Maurer of Williamstown, and Jeffrey D. Snyder of Gratz; a granddaughter Tena L wife of Donald Brown of Mechanicsburg; five great grandchildren; and a sister M. Renee wife of John Blanksby of New Cumberland. There will be no services.
