Elda Irene Schade , age 82, of 1738 W Main Street, Valley View, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Schuylkill Medical Center- E Norwegian St., Pottsville. She was born on Monday, March 3, 1930, in Valley View, PA, a daughter of the late Clifford Bixler and Irene (Erdman) Bixler. Elda was a Secretary for the plumbing business she and her husband operated in Valley View and also worked in the garment industry. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. She was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Matter. She is survived by her husband Russell M Schade, to whom she was married for 65 years. She is also survived by a son Russell Schade and his wife Amy of Birdsboro; two daughters April L Lucas and her companion George Koscianski of Endwell, NY, and Virginia Murray and her husband Jack of St. Clair; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two nieces Christine Peters and Marlene Nailor. Funeral services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Duane Bardo and Rev. Don Fishel officiating. A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church. Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.
