Edna Kathryn Stutzman, age 88, of 823 W Main Street, Valley View, died Sunday, Feb.15, 2004, at the Pottsville Hospital. She was born on May 4, 1915 in Gratz, Pa a daughter of the late Charles and Sally (Wolfe) Kissinger. She retired as a trimmer from Valley View Enterprises, Valley View, Pa. She was a member of the ILGWU. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins, Pa. Surviving are her husband Charles Stutzman to whom she was married for 66 years. Also surviving are a daughter Dolores, wife of Mark Zerbe, of Valley View; a son Robert, husband of Rachel Stutzman of Corona, Calif.; a sister Pauline, wife of James Wetzel, of Baden, Pa; three grandchildren Lee Ann Patterson of Harrisburg, Pa.; Rodney Zerbe of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Matthew Stutzman of Corona, Calif. She was preceded in death by two brothers Earl Kissinger and Charles Kissinger and by twin infant daughters. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2004 at Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins, Pa, with the Rev. Claude Schach officiating. A viewing was held at the church on Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial was be made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins, Pa. Memorial contributions can be made to Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins PA 17938. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, 200 W Main St., Valley View, Pa., was in charge of arrangements.
